She is a Professor at the Rhema Biblical Training Center and an ordained minister of the Verbo da Vida Ministry. She served as Director of Rhema in the city of Petrópolis from 2014 to 2016. Currently, she serves as a missionary at Verbo da Vida Church and vice-director of the Verbo da Vida Bible School in the city of Maputo, Mozambique.
About New Birth and Ministerial Service
Célia was born again in 1995 during a meeting at her workplace and then began attending a traditional church in Campina Grande/PB. After becoming a widow in 1998, she met Verbo da Vida, completed the Verbo da Vida Biblical Training Center, and since then has never stopped serving the Lord, as she already had the Nations in her heart.
During this period, she served in various church departments, and in 2001, she was invited to be part of the missions team on the second missionary trip to Bolivia. From then on, she never stopped and became increasingly involved in serving the Lord.
In 2005, she moved to the city of Monteiro, in the Cariri region of Paraíba, under the Lord's direction. She served with her children for a year and a half with great joy for everything the Lord was doing in that city. In 2006, she moved to Rio de Janeiro, where she had the privilege of serving the Lord at the beginning of another Church, this time in Petrópolis, in the mountainous region of Rio de Janeiro.
After 12 years in Petrópolis/RJ, God calls her to a new stage in her life: to go to the Nations. Thus, in 2018, Célia returns to Campina Grande/PB to attend the Rhema World Missions School for a time of preparation for this new stage in her life.
About the Mission Field
In 2019, after making herself available to the Verbo da Vida Ministry to serve where there was a need, Pastor Guto and Suellen invited Célia to go to Mozambique to assist in the work being developed there at Verbo da Vida Church in the city of Maputo, where she stayed initially for three months.
During this trip, she also got to know the Buzi District in Beira, a locality that was devastated by Cyclone IDAI. She spent a week in the region, where she had the opportunity to teach the Word at a seminar held by Verbo da Vida, aiming to reach pastors and leaders in the region, where she was greatly enriched by the culture and people of the locality.
After returning to Brazil, she immediately proceeded with all the necessary documentation to return, definitively, to the land that the Lord gave her. Célia set foot on her new land on February 27, 2020, where the Lord gave her the Word from Genesis 17:6: "I will make you exceedingly fruitful, and I will make nations of you, and kings shall come from you."
She was Vice-director of the Verbo da Vida Bible School in Mozambique in 2021 and also secretary of the Verbo da Vida Ministerial School, Mozambique Hub, in 2022. Parallel to the Church's work, Célia also serves in partnership with YWAM in various social projects, orphanages, women's courses, evangelism and social assistance in areas of extreme poverty.
Currently, she is part of the Church's board, is vice-director of the Verbo da Vida Bible School in Mozambique, and has been a support to Pastor Ricardo and Katy, helping in the structuring of departments, serving with home discipleship, children's department, women's department, and also in the Saber project, teaching children to read and write.
